Empty Bowls is an internationally-recognized event to fight hunger in communities around the United States and around the world. The concept is simple. Professional ceramic artists create and donate thousands of one-of-a-kind ceramic bowls. Attendees at the event make a $20 minimum donation, choose a bowl, and are served a simple meal. They keep the bowl as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the Valley and around the globe.

For many years, the AZ Clay Association and their member artists have combined forces to host Empty Bowls, benefitting Waste Not.  This popular event is attended annually by hundreds of people who enjoy the opportunity of selecting a unique ceramic bowl and helping people struggling with hunger.

Countless communities throughout the United States and around the world have embraced this grassroots project to fight the pervasive problem of hunger and we invite you to join us for this special experience on October 27th at 4:00pm at Encanto Park.
