Since our partnership kicked off in 2020, Starbucks Coffee Company has been on a mission with us at Waste Not to tackle food waste head-on through their FoodShare program, in partnership with Feeding America®. Just this year alone, we’ve saved over 402,000 pounds of food—think about that! That’s hundreds of thousands of meals going to nonprofits like St. Vincent de Paul instead of ending up in landfills. Together, we’re making sure that people facing food insecurity have access to good food, all while reducing waste in the process.
Starbucks isn’t just helping us prevent food waste; they’re showing us how large companies can step up for people and the planet. With each pound of food we rescue, we’re serving up more than just a meal. We’re creating hope, saving resources, and making strides toward a sustainable future. Starbucks and Feeding America have proven that when companies and nonprofits team up, they can achieve amazing things.
We’re beyond thankful to Starbucks for standing by us in this mission to help people and the planet flourish. Not only by donating food to Waste Not agencies, but by giving us a $10,000 FoodShare Capacity Building grant. This grant not only means we had the opportunity to rescue food, it means fuel and needed maintenance on our trucks to keep our operations thriving. Here’s to a future where every bit of food finds a purpose, and where we feed people, not landfills!
