What comes to mind when you hear the word ‘Redwoods’?
Height? Age? Beauty?
When we hear the word ‘Redwoods’, we think of community.
Redwoods are a refuge for endangered species. They have other trees and plants growing on their branches and bark. They can clean the
air by pulling in and storing more carbon than other trees. Their deep roots entwine with each other creating circular clusters of Redwoods that not only stabilize one another, but also supply nutrients.
They provide a space where the Earth and its inhabitants can flourish.
Sound familiar?
For 36 years, Waste Not has been bridging the gap between food waste and hunger. By picking up excess food from businesses we deliver this perfectly good food that would have gone to the landfill to the people who need it the most. Our method has always been simple, but so necessary.
All for the sake of helping people and the planet flourish.
Which is why we’re asking you to join the circle at Waste Not.
When you join the circle of monthly givers at Waste Not, you’re not just providing a donation. You’re providing an opportunity for a future for your loved ones to thrive in a world where Arizona is not the #1 offender of wasting food in the country. You’re providing an opportunity to support a member of your community struggling to find their next meal.
And your monthly donation is not just a momentary relief. It is a way to help sustain our operations and make real change possible.
At the beginning of 2022, 1 in 9 Arizonans struggled with food insecurity. Now, 1 in 10 do. We are moving the needle on hunger. We are creating a healthier planet and people each and every day, but our work is not done.
When you join the circle you are joining a forest of supporters just like the Redwoods. Help Arizona flourish today.
